This is a live page where I'll be laying out my current skincare routine. All products are applied to my face, neck, and decolletage unless otherwise noted. Changes will be noted as I incorporate/remove products.
Morning Routine
1. Oil Cleanse + Gua Sha
Gua Sha every morning and every night. Could be placebo but I actually think it works at depuffing my face. It's also a really relaxing addition to my routine. I watched a bunch of Youtube videos on how to do it so obviously I'm an expert now.
2. Vitamin C Serum
Melano CC Vitamin C Essence – The best Vitamin C product I've ever tried. It doesn't smell like hotdogs, and the packaging is great because the tube prevents air from getting in.
You have to wait a little bit after applying, but I think it's one of the only products that has actually helped my hyperpigmentation.
3. Moisturizer
My skin needs a lot of moisture; otherwise, it feels tight and becomes super textured. Once I started using thicker moisturizers, a lot of my acne cleared up. I have a theory that my "oily" skin was actually dry skin overcompensating by producing extra oil, which then caused my acne. Supporting evidence: I have really dry hair and body skin, so why would just my face be oily?
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream – Lighter than CeraVe, so it's better under makeup and on days where I don't feel like rubbing in moisturizer fully.
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream – Really thick cream for extra dry days.
4. Sun Protection
SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum – The only sunscreen that doesn't hurt my eyes. It's currently banned for sale in the US, but I bought a bunch of tubes before the ban and tariffs kicked in. We'll see if this changes when it's time to repurchase.
Night Time Routine
1. Double Cleanse + Gua Sha
SEKKISEI Treatment Cleansing Oil – I only use this when I wear makeup, which is very rare. The brand doesn't matter; I got this in a two-pack from Costco, so I'll probably buy whatever is the best deal next time.
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Facial Cleanser – I didn't think these cleansers did anything because they produce no suds, but my skin feels much better when I use creamier cleansers. This is another product where I just buy whatever is the most affordable in the moment.
2. Active
Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum – I use this on nights when I'm not using Differin. It has some anti-aging benefits to hopefully prolong plastic surgery for as long as possible.
3. Moisturizer
Same as the Morning Routine. Usually CeraVe, since it's thicker.
4. Lip Treatment
EADEM Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm – Changed my fricken life. My lips were perpetually chapped before I started using my Le Chouchou. I put it on before I go to bed, and when I wake up, it's still on my lips. Truly a Holy Grail product for me.
